The Youth Affairs Council of WA (YACWA) are encouraging nominations to the WA Youth Awards, which were established in 1999 to recognise young West Australians aged between 12 to 25, acknowledging their achievements and contributions to our community.
 
Nominations are now open for the following categories:

  • The Commissioner for Children and Young People Participate Award
  • The ECU Community Leadership Award
  • The Perth Theatre Trust Cultural Endeavors Award
  • The Hope Community Services Active Participation Award
  • The Minister for Youth’s Outstanding Youth Worker
  • The MercyCare Organisational Achievement (Large)
  • The RUAH Organisational Achievement (Small)
  • The RAC Innovation for a Sustainable Future Award 

The awards recognise the young people committed to their communities, helping others and thinking outside of the box. If you know someone who deserves recognition, nominations close on Thursday 31 August 2017 and can be submitted through the YACWA website.
