NAIDOC week runs from 3 July to 10 July and provides an opportunity for the whole community to participate in a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait culture.

This year’s theme is ‘Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up’ and there are a range of opportunities to participate in activities with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across the region from Wiluna to Esperance.

In Kalgoorlie-Boulder, NAIDOC week will be officially opened with a community event at Centennial Park on Sunday, 3 July from 10am, followed by the NAIDOC Parade down along Hannan Street on Monday.

The week concludes with the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth NAIDOC Ball on Friday 8 July at the Kalgoorlie Town Hall, a free event for youth aged 12 to 17 years with tickets available from the Bega Healthy Lifestyle Centre.

See the full Kalgoorlie-Boulder NAIDOC Week Program for more information.

Further south, the Esperance Tjaltjraak Native Title Aboriginal Corporation (ETNTAC) is inviting community members to join them at the Tjaltjraak Office at 10am on Monday, 4 July to enjoy morning tea, learn about the many projects that their team members are working on, take part in art activities and enjoy a BBQ lunch.
