The GEDC along with RDAGE, the Goldfields Aboriginal Business Chamber, Northern Star Resources and Mineral Resources have partnered in a Visage Productions’ episode of ‘Our Town’ to showcase Kalgoorlie-Boulder as a great place to live, work and invest.

The 30-minute production will be featured as the last show of the current series on free-to-air digital television Channel 7 / 7TWO and will also be viewable on 7Plus Live.

Anyone that lives in Kalgoorlie-Boulder can appreciate the natural beauty of Karkula Park, famous historic buildings and over sixty artworks throughout the city. Along with multiple sporting or community activities, residents can enjoy a lifestyle rich in culture and character.

Economically it is a globally significant mining region contributing $2.36 billion to the Goldfields-Esperance Region’s $19.5 billion resources production in the last financial year, and the City continues to be sought after and developed as a mine services hub.

Interestingly, two-thirds of our people are employed outside of mining, showing the diversity of economic activity and employment opportunity for our residents.

The week of 16 to 20 January 2023 saw Visage Production producer Lee Lorraine and film crew explore the attractions and unique Kalgoorlie-Boulder scenery, engage with businesses, and talk with some great local people.

Tune in to enjoy ‘Our Town’ Kalgoorlie-Boulder later in the year - a welcoming city of innovation, opportunity and diversity!
