Aboriginal Procurement Policy Training - Kalgoorlie

Aboriginal Procurement Policy Training - Kalgoorlie
09Jul2018

Register for the Aboriginal Procurement Policy training for Kalgoorlie.

The Aboriginal Procurement Policy (the Policy), commencing 1 July 2018, aims to support the economic participation of Aboriginal people by introducing mandatory targets for government contracting with registered Aboriginal businesses.

The Department of Finance has developed an education and training program to support the implementation of the Policy, which aims to:
  • Advise businesses and government agencies of the Policy details; and
  • Develop businesses’ knowledge of the WA Government buying processes to assist in harnessing the opportunities the Policy presents.

Training sessions will have a combined audience of government agency representatives and Aboriginal businesses for the first hour  (9.15-10.15am) when a briefing of the Aboriginal Procurement Policy will be provided.  The briefing is followed by a networking morning tea.  Aboriginal businesses are then invited to stay for the education and training session (10.45 - 3.00) that will explain:
  • the government procurement process and relevant policies;
  • how to submit quotes and tenders;
  • how bids are evaluated; and
  • hints and tips for seeking opportunities with government.
Please sign up for the session using the links below:
