With parts of the country impacted by the devastating floods, AgriFutures Australia has extended applications for the the 2023 Rural Women's Award and Acceleration Grant to Wednesday, 16 November 2022 to ensure women across Australia have the opportunity to submit their application. The Rural Women’s Award is Australia’s leading Award empowering and celebrating the inclusive and courageous leadership of women involved in Australia’s rural and emerging industries, businesses, and communities. This award was taken out by Esperance farmer Belinda Lay in 2019 for her ag-tech project “Fitbits for Sheep”. The AgriFutures Rural Women’s Acceleration Grant runs separately to the Award but also complements the process, aiming to provide a leadership and development opportunity to women who are not quite ready to apply for the Award. Seven Australian women per annum will be granted with a learning and development bursary of $7,000 to enable them to bring their idea, cause or vision to life. SHARE Back To News Stories
