For the first time in its 58-year history, part of the Dowerin Field Day event was held in downtown Perth. The business forum, initiated and created by the Wheatbelt Development Commission, was attended by GEDC staff and more than 500 delegates. The Minister for Agriculture and Regional Development, Hon. Alannah MacTiernan, was the keynote speaker, along with other key agriculture industry representatives including, Harvest Road, CSBP, CBH and the National Farmers Federation. The event was a fantastic opportunity for business, farmers, and political leaders to discuss the outlook of WA agriculture including the opportunities and issues facing the sector.
