The Premier of WA, Hon. Roger Cook and his Cabinet met in Kalgoorlie-Boulder this week, as part of the two-day regional Community Cabinet. The visit included a number of events and announcements, including the Regional Seniors Startegy Forum at Pringle Village and a visit to the recently opened GIFSA Hub.

During the visit, the Premier, Minister Whitby and Minister Punch were joined by Ali Kent, Member for Kalgoorlie-Boulder and Hon. Kyle McGinn, Member for Mining and Pastoral to officially launch the Karlkurla Nature Playground project.

The project is supported through a $600,000 Labour Government election commitment and $400,000 funding from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder to deliver the new nature playground at Karlkurlat Bushland Park. The project is due to commence in the coming weeks and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The Premier also announced $2.1 million of Lotterywest funding for the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Precinct project during a visit to Kingbury Park. The project is supported with a $2.1 million Labour Government election commitment and a contribution by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, to revitalise the park into a new, modern youth hub in the centre of city. The visit also provided an opportunity for the Premier, Minister Punch and Minister McGurk to view the designs and discuss key project components.
