The Goldfields Voluntary Regional Organisation of Councils (GVROC) Regional Climate Alliance has received State Government funding support to complete a Regional Climate Change Risk Assessment and Adaptation Plan during 2023. The funding will be provided through the State Government’s Regional Climate Alliance pilot program, which supports collaboration between regional local governments on climate change. The GVROC Regional Climate Change Risk Assessment and Adaptation Plan will ensure local governments in the Goldfields-Esperance region can better incorporate climate change into decision-making and investments. The GVROC Climate Alliance is also completing two foundational projects: a Carbon Emissions Baseline Study and a Regional Renewable Energy Audit.
