The first GEDC Board meeting of 2022 was held in Esperance to coincide with the annual meeting of the Goldfields Voluntary Regional Organisation of Councils (GVROC) - a group of representatives from nine of the 10 local government authorities across the Goldfields-Esperance region. In addition to the GVROC events, the Board met with Southern Ports and the Shire of Esperance, and took the opportunity to hold a joint working meeting with the Committee of Regional Development Australia Goldfields Esperance to explore opportunities for collaboration in 2022.
