The GEDC played host to two WA State Budget events on 12 May 2023, in both Kalgoorlie-Boulder and the Esperance region, which saw a combined turnout of over 110 attendees hear from Hon. Amber-Jade Sanderson, Minister for Health; Mental Health in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, and Hon. Jackie Jarvis MLC, Minister for Agriculture and Food; Forestry; Small Business in Esperance. The breakfast and luncheon events featured a state budget overview presentation from the Ministers, along with discussions around how the recent budget announcements affect the Goldfields-Esperance region. There was also an opportunity for attendees to have their questions addressed during dedicated Q&A sessions facilitated at the end of each event.
