Alannah MacTiernan MLC, joined Cr Linden Brownley and A/CEO David Trevaskis from the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder on Friday, 27 August, for a visit to St Barbara’s Square, at the centre of the Kal City Centre project. This $16 million project will see St Barbara Square and Laneway behind the City Markets Arcade refurbished into new, vibrant community spaces. The project includes new alfresco dining, entertainment areas, as well as a water play feature and playground elements. It will also provide opportunities for local businesses and Aboriginal economic development through contracting and employment. The project will deliver a reinvigorated city centre, support retail trade, and provide an enhanced visitor experience. The project received $8 million in Royalties for Regions funding, matched by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. SHARE Back To News Stories
