Youth Week 2023 officially opened at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Precinct Announcement by Minister McGurk.
Welcoming Youth Week for Western Australia, WA Minister for Youth Hon. Simone McGurk MLA officially opened festivities at Kingsbury and Lord Forrest Parks on 14 April 2023, also announcing the detailed design stage of the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Precinct project. The City was successful in receiving a $2.1 million State Government election commitment with funds administered by the GEDC.
Funding will support the development of the Kingbury Park site into an exciting modern youth precinct to include a new pump track, multipurpose court, parkour and activity zone, ablution facilities, soft landscaping and a hireable kiosk. The project concept has been developed with extensive consultation with the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Youth Council and regional youth.
