The very first Leadership WA ‘Leading Australian Resilient Communities (LARC)’ residential program took place in Esperance last week, with the second session to be held in Kalgoorlie in May.

Twenty-five Goldfields-Esperance participants enjoyed getting to know each other over the three-day immersion of shared learning and collaboration. Attendees also benefited from a better understanding of one another’s varied backgrounds and diverse interests which included health and community care, local, state and federal government, a breadth of small businesses, not for profits, and larger industry.

With a focus on professional and regional development, participants explored regional challenges and opportunities with the aim of defining and developing projects over the next three months that will positively impact their communities. With a strong interest in contributing to regional resilience outcomes the LARC is also being delivered in the MidWest region during 2023.

The Regional Australia Institute is supporting delivery of this invaluable the program.
