This month, officers from the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI) visited Kalgoorlie-Boulder and Esperance to announce the opening of the Goldfields-Esperance Local Capability Fund at the Regional Business Engagement Forum event. The Round provides funding to Goldfields-Esperance based small and medium-sized enterprises to enhance their capacity, capability and competitiveness to supply major projects and markets in Australia and overseas and will be closing on 19 July 2023. Other presenters at the event included the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD), Main Roads WA, Construction Training Fund (CTF) and Department of Communities (DoC) who covered different topics such as incentives available for employing apprentices and trainees, the WA Industry Participation Strategy, WA Buy Local Policy, main road projects and an overview of the CTF.
