The State Government’s new Regional Airfare Zone Cap scheme was launched in Kalgoorlie-Boulder last week by the Premier and Minister for Transport.

The new scheme will see airfares capped for regional Western Australian residents when flying to and from Perth.

Under the scheme regional residents living within 1,000 km (by road) of Perth will pay a Zone Cap fare of $199 one-way and people living beyond 1,000 km of Perth will pay $299 one-way.

This is a great outcome for residents of the Goldfields-Esperance region, with those flying from regional airports including Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Laverton and Leonora able to benefit from capped airfares.

Zone Cap fares can be booked now for travel from 1 July 2022.
