The Fitzgerald Business Network and the GEDC hosted a Business After Hours event on 24 November in Hopetoun. The event was a fantastic opportunity for businesses and the local community to hear from resources companies and contractors about current and future operations in the Shire of Ravensthorpe. The event included presentations on the two resource projects currently operating in the Shire: the Ravenshorpe Nickel Mine project operated by First Quantum Minerals and Mt Cattlin lithium concentrate (spodumene) project operated by Allkem, formerly Galaxy Resources. Medallion Metals also presented an outline of how its planned Ravensthorpe Gold Project was advancing. MACA, a Tier 1 mining contractor for FQM, also gave an update on its operations and the flow-on benefits from its large workforce within the Shire.
