On Friday, 27 August, Regional Development Minister, the Hon. Alannah MacTiernan MLC, toured the new Goldfields Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) facility and announced the opening of the fourth round of Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants. Goldfields NDT was awarded a $195,000 RED grant in early 2020, which enabled the business to expand its facility, create new jobs, and perform non-destructive testing locally. In the past, NDT was conducted outside the region or not at all due to the absence of a purpose-built, local facility. GEDC is pleased to advise that the new round of RED Grants is now open. Eligible businesses and organisations can apply for funding up to $250,000 to support locally driven projects that stimulate economic growth and development in the region.
