Regional Development Minister Hon. Alannah MacTiernan MLC visited the historic Coolgardie Post Office Building earlier this month to announce the recipients of Round 5 of the Regional Economic Development (RED) grants.
 
Four Goldfields-Esperance projects were awarded funding and will share in $582,000 for this round.

The successful applicants were:
  • Judumul Advisory Aboriginal Corporation — $113,000 for the Judumul Cultural Hub, Coolgardie;
  • Target Mining Resources Pty Ltd — $140,000 for skills and training development at the Core Processing Training Centre, Kalgoorlie-Boulder;
  • Shire of Wiluna — $200,000 for the Wiluna Caravan Park; and
  • Bread Local — $129,000 for facility upgrades as part of the Powering the Future of Bread Local project in Esperance.
