30Nov2022 The upgraded Laverton Great Beyond Visitor Centre officially opened its doors this month The upgraded Laverton Great Beyond Visitor Centre officially opened its doors this month. The Great Beyond Visitor Centre has long been a vital asset for Laverton and the Northern Goldfields. The upgraded Centre now includes a café with alfresco dining and increased merchandising space to showcase the town's local attractions and encourage visitors to stay longer and explore. The $2.6 million upgrade project received $1.3 million in State Government funding support. The new facilities will enrich the traveller experience for those venturing along the Outback Way. The Outback Way is a significant national road project supported by both the State and Federal Government to seal the road from Laverton to Winton, in Queensland, resulting in significant increased visitation through the Northern Goldfields.
