16 Days in WA Campaign

Stopping violence against women means promoting equality and respectful relationships, violence-free spaces and safer communities.

The Department of Communities’ 16 Days in WA Campaign, which runs from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) through to December 10 (Human Rights Day) each year, provides an opportunity for all organisations and individuals to learn more about family, domestic and sexual violence and take action to contribute to a safer world.

Launched in 2020, the WA State Government’s Path to Safety: Western Australia’s Strategy to Reduce Family and Domestic Violence 2020 – 2030 sets out a whole-of-government and community plan for reducing and responding to this issue over the next decade.
