Grants of up to $20,000 are available through the Country Local Government Fund Youth Development Traineeship Program to support the creation of traineeship-based employment for young people aged 24 years and under. The traineeships will enable young country people to develop long-term employment skills and expose them to future employment opportunities and networks within local government.
Scholarships of up to $10,000 are also available to country local government employees aged 30 years and under to participate in job-related training or study.
Young people from indigenous and multicultural backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply to their local government when funding becomes available.
