At its December meeting, the GEDC Board endorsed a proposal to develop a GEDC ‘Innovate’ Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP).
The RAP is part of the GEDC’s long-term commitment to increasing the economic prosperity of Aboriginal people and communities in the region and supporting First Nations self-determination.
Expressions of interest from community members to join the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group will be called for in the New Year.
The GEDC invites all interested parties to follow its RAP journey as it takes further action in 2022 to advance reconciliation, with regular updates to be provided via the GEDC’s online newsletter and LinkedIn page.
