05Oct2017 Event holders can apply for funding between $5,000 and $50,000. Tourism WA's 2018-19 Regional Events Scheme (RES), supported by Royalties for Regions, is now open. The scheme offers funding for eligible regional events held between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019 that have the ability or potential to attract visitors to the region, achieve media attention and involve and inspire the local community. Event holders can apply for funding between $5,000 and $50,000. A funding pool of up to $1,000,000 has been allocated for the 2018-19 RES round. New to the 2018-19 RES, will be the addition of the Regional Aboriginal Events Scheme, a funding pool of $150,000 that only events delivering an authentic Aboriginal experience through the leadership and participation of Aboriginal people are eligible to apply for.
