State Budget for Western Australia 2025-26

The State Government has released it’s budget for 2025-26, including announcements for the Goldfields-Esperance region. Minister Michael and Minister Hammat joined audiences in Kalgoorlie and Esperance to provide a budget update as part of a Regional Budget Roadshow on 20 June 2025.

Budget highlights for the Goldfields- Esperance region include:

  • $543 million to enhance water supply to the region through the Goldfields Agriculture Water Supply Scheme.
  • $20 million for Stage 2 of the Pringle Village seniors independent living units in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
  • $12 million for infrastructure improvements at O’Connor Primary School in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
  • $2.12 million for upgrades at Esperance Bay Turf Club.
  • $200,000 in funding for medical facilities at the Esperance Kart Club.
  • Support for Esperance Care Services and Escare’s Esperance Financial Counselling Service.
