It is now possible to discover all projects being delivered through Royalties for Regions, thanks to the launch of an online mapping application using cutting-edge technology.
The interactive map, powered by Landgate, displays information about Royalties for Regions projects across more than 4,700 locations that are contributing to the transformation of regional communities across the State.Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission CEO, Shayne Flanagan said the online map provides a unique opportunity for regional communities to see, in context, the planned or completed projects in their area delivered as part of the Royalties for Regions program.
“Since 2008, more than $6.9 billion has been invested through Royalties for Regions, and this is just the start,” Mr Flanagan said.
“Big things are happening in our regions – and the RfR Investment Map provides Western Australians with the opportunity to see the difference Royalties for Regions is making to our state.
“Investment in projects such as infrastructure, tourism, agriculture, communications and health contributes to creating vibrant regions with strong economies where people want to live, work and raise their children.”
The information is delivered through the State Government’s unique Shared Location Information Platform (SLIP), which underpins the WA Whole-of-Government Open Data Policy.
