Essential upgrades have been completed at an independent living village in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, enhancing safety and comfort for residents.
On Tuesday 27 January, GEDC staff attended the official unveiling of Goldfields Masonic Homes’ Dennis Armstrong Village upgrades. The project received a $50,000 Small Grant Election Commitment administered by the GEDC, to improve security and install insulation at the village. The upgrades included installation of ceiling insulation and new security locks on all 12 units as well as the replacement of rear fencing and gates.
The residents are very pleased with the much-needed upgrades, which make a real difference to the liveability, safety and privacy in the close-knit village.
GEDC Senior Regional Development Officer, Marta Perona joined the residents’ morning tea marking the occasion, attended by Goldfields Masonic Homes’ Board and staff as well as Member for Kalgoorlie, Ali Kent.
