Working with communities to plan for our drying climate will be a key focus for GEDC this year, as work gets underway on a Drought Resilience Plan for the Goldfields-Esperance region. This project is jointly funded through the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and DPIRD. The Regional Drought Resilience Planning Program is one of several programs under the $5 billion federal Future Drought Fund, a fund that invests in building resilience to drought for farmers, allied industries and regional communities.
