The GEDC Board travelled to Menzies in early June, where a visit to water infrastructure revealed a novel approach by the Shire of Menzies to water storage.
With the GEDC’s focus on water security as part of the Goldfields-Esperance Regional Drought Resilience Plan, it was notable to see alternative water infrastructure being utilised to preserve potable water supply.
The Board received briefings from the Shire on their priorities for the year ahead.
