The Goldfields Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA) has been extended, ensuring continued support for local employers and enhanced access to skilled labor in the Goldfields-Esperance region. The agreement will now run to April 2026.
City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Mayor, Glenn Wilson, expressed his support for the extension, following the announcement from the Australian Government. Mr Wilson acknowledged that the DAMA was a much-needed tool for Goldfields employers and an important program for the region, bringing in skilled and semi-skilled overseas workers for business, industry and services.
The Goldfields DAMA includes 145 eligible occupations for sponsorship, with key roles in hospitality, health and social services, mining, construction and transport across the Goldfields and Esperance regions.
For further inquiries, employers can contact the City’s Migration Agreement Officer at (08) 9021 9600 or via email at dama@ckb.wa.gov.au. For more information about the DAMA, including an updated list of occupations and concessions, visit the Goldfields DAMA Overview.
