Regional Local Governments can now apply for grants of up to $25,000 to support the early childhood education and care workforce. Announced by Early Childhood Education Minister Sabine Winton, the grants can fund incentives such as subsidised accommodation, relocation costs and further training.
The grants are part of the Attraction and Retention Packages for Regional Child Care Workers Program, with two rounds of the funding already delivered. Round Three is now open for applications by Local Government Authorities until Friday, 1 March 2024.
