Local Artists showcased in WAM double album

Local Artists showcased in WAM double album

GEDC is delighted to support the recent release of the 15th regional recording compilation from West Australian Music (WAM).

The 23-track double album is the first of its kind, showcasing stories from artists at the furthest north and south of our region.

WAM’s pop-up studio spent nine days recording artists in the north of the region, in the remote Mirlirrtjarra Community (Warburton) – amidst the expansive desert horizons in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands near the tri-state border.

Following a multi-day, 1,200km drive south, WAM then set up studio in Esperance, on the state’s southern coastline, to record the second album of local artists.

The Demos from Ngaanyatjarra Lands and Esperance album is supported through the State Government and sponsors.

You can support creatives from our region by sharing and downloading the regional demos on Soundcloud or Spotify.
