During the SEGRA conference, the GEDC led delegates on a tour of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, showcasing some of the City’s tourism gems.
Linden Brownley of Bush Ghoodhu Wongutha Tours shared First Nations stories and culture along the route to entertain and educate visitors between attractions.
The tour featured the Karkurla Nature Reserve in the Great Western Woodlands – a 16-million-hectare woodland stretching throughout the Goldfields region; a trip to the Kalgoorlie Golf Course; and a tour of the historic Boulder Town Hall with the City historian.
This was followed by lunch at the Museum of the Goldfields, rounded off with a visit to the Super Pit lookout – a must-do for all visitors to Kalgoorlie.
GEDC regularly provides industry and community famils to people visiting the region, ranging from investors or government agencies to Ministerial delegations.
If you are visiting the region and are interested in connecting with local stakeholders or familiarising yourself with local land or industry opportunities, get in touch with the GEDC team or plan your visit or events using Our Gems.
