State commences construction at Yilkari Industrial Park, Kalgoorlie

The State Government has announced the commencement of construction at Yilkari Industrial Park in Kalgoorlie, providing $30 million towards stage one civil works. 

The successful contractor Ertech will shortly commence construction to deliver 26 general industrial lots ranging from 2,500 square metres to 2 hectares and serviced with power, water, NBN and a new intersection at Anzac Drive to cater for heavy RAV10 vehicles. 

Over the next decade, Yilkari is expected to deliver more than 70 general industrial lots attracting more than $200 million in private sector investment and creating more than 700 construction jobs.  

 Once completed, the estate is expected to support more than 850 permanent jobs and inject more than $300 million into the Kalgoorlie-Boulder economy annually. 

 The GEDC is delighted with this investment having worked closely with Development WA and the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, through the Goldfields Strategic Industrial Forum, to accelerate planning and development of industrial land in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, to meet growing local demand.
