Taste of the World 2025

Taste of the World 2025

Taste of the World 2025 took place over the WA Day long weekend in Esperance, marking its fifth consecutive year. The multicultural event attracted more than 2,000 attendees and featured food from over 35 nationalities, an increase from 23 in 2024.

Organised by Esperance Community Arts, the event focused on cultural exchange through food, music, and dance. Community members participated by preparing and serving traditional home-cooked meals and sharing information about their cultural backgrounds.

Musical performances included Zai Pereira from Brazil, and Qki and Simon Goni from Argentina. The event also featured a range of performances representing Sierra Leone, the Philippines, Peru, Nigeria, and Brazil. A segment titled We Are What We Wear explored the significance of traditional clothing from different cultures.

Since its launch in 2021 with approximately 500 attendees, the event has seen steady growth. It aims to provide a platform for community engagement and cross-cultural interaction among local residents.

Taste of the World 2025 was supported by the Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC).
