Employers in the Goldfields-Esperance region are encouraged to complete the Western Australian Jobs, Education and Training (WAJET) Industry and Regional Stakeholder Survey. Open until 31 March 2023, the WAJET survey is critical to the work of the Department of Training and Workforce Development (DTWD) in addressing Western Australia's workforce needs now and into the future.
To assist in better understanding employer’s needs and workforce experience, participation in the WAJET survey helps the State government gain insight into the accuracy of current workforce and skills planning. Survey findings will also be used to help shape:
- prioritisation of training (through the State Priority Occupation List);
- local/regional training delivery;
- migration pathways;
- training infrastructure planning; and
- other training and workforce initiatives and priorities to meet industry needs.
Learnings from the survey are shared with other government, industry and community leaders to inform training, employment and other workforce related decision making. The survey should take between 5 to 10 minutes to complete and is confidential.
