The GEDC was proud to support the Goldfields Aboriginal Business Chamber as a stall holder at the ‘Goldfields Aboriginal Business Forum and Trade Show’, hosted at the Central Regional TAFE Convention Centre in July. Celebrating Aboriginal business in the Goldfields, the annual event opened with an industry sundowner at the Museum of the Goldfields, where Aboriginal businesses and local industry connected prior the forum. The highlight of the evening was a performance by the Ngadju Dancers who showcased traditional stories through dance.The Forum and Trade Show featured a number of industry speakers, providing meaningful insight into procurement and employment opportunities across a range of sectors. The keynote address was presented by Nova Peris, the first Aboriginal athlete to win an Olympic gold medal, and who later served as a senator for the Northern Territory. SHARE Back To News Stories
