Northern Goldfields residents can expect faster, more reliable, and affordable broadband thanks to recent State Government funding. A total of $1.03 million will be allocated to two projects designed to deliver higher quality services to the region. Australian communications company Pivotel will provide a mix of 4G mobile and 5G fixed wireless broadband services to business and communities in the Leonora and Laverton districts. Funding has also been directed to Telstra to deliver additional capacity and faster speeds to boost user experience in the area. Further information about the proposals will be distributed to the community in coming months through the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development and GEDC.
