Visitors to the Golden Outback now have a new place to stay, with the official opening of the Wiluna Caravan Park.
Minister for Goldfields-Esperance, Hon David Michael MLA joined the community for the opening, which included a tour of the facilities and a barbecue lunch in the new camp kitchen.
The park features 22 powered caravan sites, a campground, seven cabins and two family suites, with free laundry, wi-fi and modern amenities. Since opening three months ago, the Park has welcomed more than 528 guests, with local visitor numbers increasing 20% since last year.
The project was supported by a $200,000 Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant facilitated by the GEDC, alongside funding from the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and the Shire of Wiluna.
