The GEDC has celebrated the release of two guides to filming in the diverse region of Goldfields-Esperance: Imagine That and On Location.
Produced in partnership with Screenwest earlier this year, the Film Friendly documents provide the perfect starting point for productions considering the region for their next film or screen production.
Imagine That is a location guide highlighting the versatility of places and venues on offer in Goldfields-Esperance, to showcase regional Australian locales or simulate an array of international film landscapes ranging from English forests and Caribbean beaches to the salt lakes of Utah and small-town America.
On Location details the rich catalogue of film projects undertaken in the region, which has hosted productions as varied as Nickel Queen, WA’s first feature film; a film adaptation of Tim Winton’s acclaimed novel Dirt Music; and local stories like the ongoing Aussie Gold Hunters series.
The guides were brought together by renowned film photographer, Ian Brodie, and local photography attachment, Jayde Guest.
