Recently, local suppliers, buyers and industry leaders from the Goldfields came together for a high-energy “Meet the Buyer” event in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
The event was a collaborative effort between GEDC, Goldfields Aboriginal Business Chamber (GABC) and Kalgoorlie-Boulder Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KBCCI), opening doors for local businesses to connect directly with key decision-makers and learn about current and future supply opportunities in the region.
Attendees gained valuable insights into upcoming projects and learnt more about supply opportunities from organisations including Evolution Mining, Department of Energy and Economic diversification, Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre, Westgold Resources, Main Roads, City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Water Corporation, WA Country Health Services and Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attraction.
MEGT Australia, Waalitj Hub, Jobs and Skills and Central Regional TAFE were on the ground providing capability-building support for businesses ready to take the next step. A networking session followed the presentations, offering a rare opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with the people and organisations investing in the region.
A huge thank you to everyone who participated – the connections made on the day will help shape a stronger, more connected regional business community.
