Lotterywest and the GEDC recently hosted two Impact Café project planning workshops in Kalgoorlie-Boulder and Esperance. These sessions offered practical guidance on preparing funding applications and provided information on current funding opportunities.
A key highlight was the launch of the Community Impact Hub and Community Impact Planner, developed by Lotterywest and Healthway. These resources are designed to simplify the funding application process and offer a clear, user-friendly template for planning and applying for funding. Attendees welcomed the tools, noting their potential to significantly reduce the time and effort required to complete applications which is a common barrier for many organisations.
The workshops attracted a broad range of participants, including representatives from not-for-profit organisations, community groups, local government and businesses.
Melanie Bainbridge, Senior Manager of Impact Design and Capability at Lotterywest, facilitated part of the session, providing tools and strategies to support the effective planning, delivery and reporting of projects.
Marta Perona, Senior Regional Development Officer at GEDC, ran through the support, resources and funding available from GEDC, including assistance with identifying suitable funding sources, supplying supporting materials including statistics and available State Government funding programs including the Local Capability Fund and REDS.
