The Kalgoorlie City Centre project was opened by the Honourable Jackie Jarvis, Minister for Small Business, last week with the community enjoying a first glimpse of the completed project during the annual Saint Barbara's Festival in Kalgoorlie.
The project has delivered a renewed Saint Barbara’s Square with a large scale playground, water and light canopy and community stage, transforming the space into a vibrant hub for families, locals, businesses and tourists. The design will enable the space to be used for events and entertainment, alfresco dining with gardens and accessible facilities.
The new development is complemented by a First Nations Arts project which includes a collection of mural and sculptural works by local artists which will be finalised early in the new year.
