Goldfields-Esperance Regional Drought Resilience Plan

Goldfields-Esperance Regional Drought Resilience Plan

GEDC is working to deliver a regional drought resilience plan for the Goldfields-Esperance region, through collaboration with the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) and the Goldfields Voluntary Regional Organisation of Councils (GVROC).

The Plan will be locally-led and deliver practical actions to help achieve drought resilience and preparedness across our region and guide future investment. Building on work undertaken with GVROC’s Regional Climate Alliance, the Plan will have a strong focus on driving water security solutions.

The plan will identify a pipeline of fundable initiatives that are regionally focused and address the priorities and opportunities of the Goldfields-Esperance region. By preparing for climate change and dry seasonal conditions we can ensure our communities and industries are vibrant and prosperous well into the future.
